Updating data for your institution
- Your browser must support JavaScript 1.2 (e.g., Microsoft
Internet Explorer 4.0 and Netscape Navigator 3.0, or later versions, have
support for this).
- Your browser must have cookies enabled. In most browsers, cookies
are enabled by default. E.g., in Internet Explorer 5.0, the cookies are
enabled if your security setting is at Medium level or lower. (You
can specify the cookie setting independently of other security settings by
customizing the security level. To do that, choose Internet Options on
the Tools menu, activate the Security tab and click Custom
Level, then enable both per-session and permanent cookies.)
- As for security, your browser might ask you whether to save the
password for future sessions. Consider if this is safe in your case (if
your computer is used by other people and your user name was used for
system log-in, any person has your saved passwords available).
For instructions on editing each page, choose Help on the
top navigation bar.
To start editing information for your institution, choose Main
Editing Page on the navigation bar, and enter your User ID and
password. When you have made the changes, it is recommended that you log
out.
This returns you to SEDB home page and ends the editing session (meaning that
you must again log in with your User ID and password in order to access the
main editing page for your institution).
