Report for the 24th General Assembly
FIG Working Week in Seoul, 6-11 May 2001
WORKING WEEK 2003, EILAT, ISRAEL 19 - 23 MAY 2003
The Organizing Committee is proceeding with the preparations for the Working
Week 2003 in Eilat. The Association of Licensed Surveyors in Israel, which is
hosting the meeting, has invited its sister societies: The Israeli Society for
Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing and The Israeli Cartographic Association, to
hold their annual meetings in Eilat. This will enhance variety in the technical
program, which will be offered. We also plan to dedicate a session to the
recently raised topic of "Three Dimensional Cadastre". All these plans
will be coordinated with Commission Chairs.
The FIG Bureau could meet on Sunday, 18 May 2003. We expect the first General
Assembly to take place on the morning of Monday 19 May 2003, the Technical
Sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the second General Assembly on
Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. Our representatives will discuss these
plans with the Bureau and member associations in Seoul in May 2001.
The brochure for the 2003 Working Week in Eilat will be distributed during
the FIG Congress 2002 in Washington DC and will be sent to anyone interested.
There will be a five-minute presentation on the arrangements at the second
session of the General Assembly in Seoul to promote the 2003 Working Week.
