The first plenary session focussed on Urban and Rural Inter-relationship in Land Administration. This session was chaired by President Magel with András Osskó as rapporteur and Maximilian Geierhos and Rob Mahoney as speakers together with Lars Reutersward from UN-Habitat.

The plenary sessions were well attended even though there were concurring events.

The second plenary session on disaster and risk management was chaired by Peter Creutzer, WPLA while Andreas Drees was the rapporteur.

Technical sessions were very well attended even though there were most of the time ten concurrent sessions running parallel - commission 5 session.

Technical sessions followed different concepts - Commission 5 panel at the RTK / CORs Providers and Users Forum with Matt Higgins, Chair of Commission 5, Ruth Neilan, International GNSS Service, Joël van Cranenbroeck, Leica and Prof. Chris Rizos,  President of IAG Commission 4 Positioning and Applications.

The exhbition was combined with INTERGEO 2006 which had more than 500 exhibitors covering more than 30,000 sqm and attracting more than 19,000 during the three days.
